CD Release, 11/13/09 @ Musica: A letter from Dolson

Dear Friends and Family,

As you may know by now, I’ve been working for the past few years on my first ever full-length album “Eightynine”.

A majority of the material came from the songs I wrote while living in a dingy basement of a house on Carroll Street in Akron, OH.

This album is really a story the whole way through about my struggle to reconcile the way that I once saw the world as a starry eyed naive kid, with the harsh reality that is life. My generation has grown up constantly being told that we can be whatever we want to be, and do anything we want when we grow up. I always had expectations of where my life would be when I got to a certain age. When that age came and passed it was jarring.

After nearly 2 years away from music, I started recording “Eightynine” during the winter of 2008. Here it almost 2 years later, but the finished product is worth the wait.

We’re having a concert to celebrate the release of “Eightynine”. I would be honored to have you share in the celebration that night. The CD release show is Friday, November 13, at Musica in Akron. If you pre-order your tickets, you’ll get the album free at the show. All you have to do to pre-order is go online to www.dolsonmusic.com and click the link on the homepage for pre-sale tickets, or contact me at tickets@dolsonmusic.com.

If you can’t make it the night of the 13th, you can still share in the celebration by ordering the album at www.dolsonmusic.com/pre-order.

Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you on the 13th.

Sincerely,

Andy Dolson
