So today i’m staying with my buddy jerry chapman here in Mt. Airy, NC. I spent some time this afternoon walking the streets of downtown Mt. Airy.
If you’re not familiar, this is the “Big” town that everybody heads to in the TV show Andy Griffith, and it’s Mt Airy’s claim to faim. Walking down the street you’ll hear stores blasting none other than the Andy Griffith Theme song. T-shirts with Barney Fife line the walls and I swear I saw Andy’s police car drive by when i was enjoying my Cheer Wine on a bench.
But i’m here hangin with my friend Jerry Chapman who I met this summer at Sputnik in Nashville while he was putting together his newest record. Here’s me and the Chapman boys hangin out this afternoon.

Well, tonight we’re playing at a place in Lewisville. Thanks again Jerry for your hospitality.
Tomorrow night I’ll be in Charlotte at the Evening Muse with Roman Candle, and The Deep Vibrations. Come on out.

Anyways, it’s been a crazy week. Last Friday night I played for the Rock Your Community show in Nashville which was fun. The highlight of the night was the green room filled with BBQ, Ribs, Cookies, and even a tray of Chick-Fil-a chicken nuggets. Needless to say, we gorged ourselves that night. My buddies Thomas and Caleb joined me for that show and as an aside, if you’re in Nashville tomorrow night there’s only one thing you should think about doing, and that is going to the Lorien show at Exit/In.
We played Saturday night again in East Nashville. Despite the fear of being shot after the gig, we had a good time. Sunday night was chill in Johnson City, at the Acoustic Coffeehouse, but I was already running on empty before my 2 hour drive to NC after the show.
I took monday off and got to meet up with my college roommates here in Raleigh. Yesterday, my buddy Josh came with me to Wilmington. Our plan was to camp on the beach, but once we got there it was way colder than we expected, and we didn’t have a tent, or the proper equipment to have a fire, so after the show we made our way back to Raleigh.
Today we rode some trails at some state park, and now i’m getting ready to head back to Winston-Salem.
I’ll be playin some music at the Foothills Brewery in downtown Winston-Salem with my buddy Jerry Chapman.
