Dolson Winter Tour: Vermont and Brooklyn
At the moment I’m in Ohio, sitting on the couch watching football with the fam. I never watch football. As you can see, I’m not really watching.
So, a lot has happened in the past few days. We made it safely to Vermont, even though all of our NYC friend’s urged us to stay in the city convinced that we’d never make it through the snow storm.
It wasn’t bad except we had to go straight to the Langdon Street, which basically meant we’d have to deal with our own stank for a few more hours.

Patty took a nap in the booth.

Later that night we got to our hotel which smelled like something died, but we were so tired we crashed all the same.

On Thursday we got to sleep in for the first time all week, so we took advantage, then we hit Burlington.

We stumbled upon this crazy sculpture at an art gallery on Church Street.

Each piece was hollowed out, and they had sticks so you could play this giant percussion sculpture. We even got to meet the artist and jam with him on his creation.

We played the Skinny Pancake that night, then on Friday morning we drove back down to Brooklyn.

Friday night was my night off, but the Speedbumps played at Pete’s Candy Store, which is a bar/venue, and a not a candy store in any way, but the sound was great.
Before the gig though, I had to drive down to Coney Island and pick up Erik’s pedals at Coney Island.

The hot-dog stand was closed :(.

The stage was set up in what looked like an old train car, and it was by far the guys best. It only took me 11 hours to get back to Akron from NYC.
Today, I’m driving down to Winston-Salem to meet up with some friends on the way to Raleigh for the gig tomorrow. We’ve got 4 more gigs on the Dolson Speedbump Winter Tour. If you’re in the Carolina’s this week, come on out! We’ll be chillin at the beach house in Surf City.
