Just a few more days till Chicago. I gotta tell you, I can’t wait for the pizza. It’s by far the best thing Chicago has to offer. I’m heading there on Thursday with my buddy Pete Nischt to play at DePaul University. We were out there in April, and it was freezing! but we got to eat Giordano’s, which I love, and we slept in Pete’s car for one night…..so overall, it was a good trip. Hopefully it’ll be a little bit warmer this time, and mabye we’ll try Lou Malnati’s for a change.
Tonight, my friend Ben finished screening the posters for the show. Check it out.

Pretty cool huh? Each one is hand printed on 11×17 card stock. The illustration is by Ben’s wife Ashley who if I’m lucky, will be working on the artwork for the new album.
(I’ll throw this little interjection here. The album should be out in January if all goes smoothly from here on out. As far as I know, it will be mixed this month, but if you know much about the music business, it’s kinda like the construction business. Things take a whole lot longer and end up costing a whole lot more than expected, but in the end it’s worth it…..unless your roof starts leaking…i guess…)
Anyways, if you like what you see, then check out Gitgan.com or just email ben@gitgan.com. They do custom design and screen printing as well as web design, and whole lot more. Ben’s a good friend of mine, and has been for quite some time, and he will be featured on the album playing bass for “Could Be You”. He and his wife are pretty darn talented if you ask me.
On a completely unrelated note, I got to take pictures today for my friends Aaron and Rachel and their family. Aaron’s the guy on the right, and you’ll get to hear him playing drums on the new album for the song “whisper”.

Aaron and his wife Rachel have two of the most adorable girls ever.

We had some trouble getting Aaliyah to smile, but after some play time she was loving it.

Here’s one of Aaliyah pretending to take pictures of me.

So now you got to meet Aaron, and like I said he’s on the album…oh yeah, and Ben is too, but I think I already told you that. This post has alot more to do with dolson music than I initially thought.
Well, I’ll be hanging posters tomorrow, and getting some things ready for Chicago. I hope you follow along, cause I’ll be posting from the Windy City. Oh, and check back tomorrow for some behind the scenes footage of a dolson rehearsal.
